Win $20,000 and a new car

The Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce's is offering Gold Cast business identities the chance to win $20,000 cash and a new VW Golf.

The two prizes on offer are both for players who hit a Hole-In-One on hole 8 and hole 17 at the annual President's Cup Golf Day at Palmer Gold Coast golf course on Friday, July 21.

The President's Cup Golf Day, sponsored by Beach Markets at Surfers Paradise, has always been a favourite with Gold Coast business community and this year's event is shaping up to be bigger than ever.

The two hole-in-prizes, supplied by insurance brokers Coastsure and James Frizelle Robina Volkswagen, are among a swag of prizes and activties scheduled for the day.

Even Elvis Presley is set to make an appearance on one of the holes.

Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce manager Marshall Hall said they were hoping to have more than 100 attend this year's event.

Meanwhile, the Chamber has dramatically cut the costs of membership as it prepares for a major membership push.

The changes, which were implemented after a survey of members earlier this year, are designed to create greater value for money for members and make it more affordable for people to join.

For most members, their renewal cost will be significantly reduced from last year. The old memberships (and renewal prices) were:

Platinum       ($2750)
Gold             ($1540)
Networking   ($660)
Silver            ($200)

The new membership packages and the prices (that came into effect from July 1 are:

Platinum Plus  ($1399)
Platinum          ($1099)
Gold                ($599)
Silver               ($399)
Bronze             ($149)


The new membership packages will apply when annual memberships fall due.

Benefits attached to your existing membership (such as free tickets to events) will remain in place until your 2016-2017 membership expires
