Mermaid Beach real estate agent Perry Brosnan has sold his 50th property on Marine Parade on the beachfront at Miami, Gold Coast.
The sale under the hammer of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at 9/40 Marine Parade last Saturday allowed Mr Brosnan to reach the amazing milestone.
However, Mr Brosnan, who has worked for John Henderson Professionals Mermaid Beach for the past 13 years, is not resting on his laurels and is looking for buyers for another five apartments that he has listed on Marine Parade.
“I am very proud of what we have achieved and I want to point out that I could not have done this without the support of the local community, my friends and my family,” said Mr Brosnan, a father of two.
“The last couple of years have not been easy in the property industry but I can see that the market is starting to strengthen, particularly at the lower end.”
Mr Brosnan, who has also been named in the Top 2% of salespeople from Professionals Real Estate Group offices throughout the east coast of Australia and inducted into the $60 million dollar club, said Miami, was a great part of the Gold Coast.
“I think that Miami is one of the great under-rated suburbs of the Gold Coast’’ he said.
“It sits on the beachfront in the heart of the city, right beside Mermaid Beach, one of the most prestigious suburbs the city has got and yet many people overlook it as a potential suburb to call their home.
“I think that will certainly change in the coming years.”
Mr Brosnan said his first Marine Parade sale had been a small unit at 8 Marine Parade, which sold in 2001 for $105,000.
“I think that apartment would have at least tripled in value since then,’’ he said.
Some of his biggest sales have included a block of five townhouses which sold for $4.2 million in 2007 and several houses over $3 million.
